Tasks

A task runs a sequence of operations when a specified event occurs. Create one through an AI conversation, a template, or the app catalog.

Structure

  1. Trigger — Starts the run manually, on a schedule, through a webhook, when an email arrives, or from another supported event
  2. Steps — Send messages, retrieve data, update tables, run AI, or perform other operations
  3. Data — Pass values from the trigger and earlier steps into later steps

Tasks can also include conditions, loops, parallel work, and human approvals when those controls are available.

Ways to create a task

  • Describe the work — Tell AI the trigger, inputs, processing, and destination
  • Use a template — Start from a similar process and replace accounts and resources
  • Start from an app — Select an app and browse operations that it supports

Generated content is a proposal. Before saving, review the connected account, affected records, recipients, and sharing scope.

Operational states

  • Active — Runs when its trigger fires
  • Paused — Does not run automatically while maintenance or editing is in progress
  • Draft — Still being configured, when this state is shown

The exact state names and available actions may differ by permission.
